The romantic Singapore River

The simplistic decor of the restaurant makes it stand out from the lush setting of  the hotel. The ambience is understated, charming and elegant. You can choose to dine in the comfort of the restaurant or al fresco along the romantic Singapore River.

Service is efficient and the wait-staff are competent and approachable.

The buffet is quite extensive and there is a lavish array of salads, seafood, hot dishes and delectable desserts to satiate even the most discerning gourmand.

 The pasta station

There is also pasta station where pastas are prepared à la minute. Diners can choose from a range of pastas and sauces. Those who are inclined towards Indian food will be delighted with the naan and condiments at the Indian counter.

My favourite items from the buffet are the salads, Japanese sashimi and sushi, fresh seafood and the wondrous desserts. The hot dishes pale in comparison.

Those with a sweet tooth can satiate their cravings by indulging in the marvellous dessert spread. Must tries include the cranberry and pistachio madeleine, spiced pumpkin crème brûlée, peach crumble, fruit cake and of course, chocolate fondue with strawberry, honeydew, pineapple and marshmallow.
