Morton's of Chicago - Still excellent after all these years!

Enjoying my martini

Morton’s of Chicago has be around for almost two decades. Over the years, the restaurant has cemented a reputation for offering one of the best steaks in town. I have not dined there for a couple of years, but I must say the food is still excellent after all these years.

Exuding chic sophistication, Morton's has a main dining room, three private dining rooms, a restaurant bar and an atrium bar.  Every dish is skilfully executed and tastefully assembled. Service is immaculate too, making me feel pampered the minute I stepped into the restaurant. The restaurant is cosy, dimly lit and has a nostalgic ambience.

Lobster bisque

My hubby and I commenced our dinner with luscious lobster bisque which was delightful and brimmed with rich, wholesome flavours.

Proscuitto wrapped mozzarella

The savoury prosciutto wrapped mozzarella was savoury and creamy at the same and was a fantastic blend of textures and tastes.

Jumbo lumb crab cake

The jumbo lumb crab cake is another noteworthy dish which is crispy on the outside and tender inside.

Centre-cut Fillet Mignon

Mashed potato

The signature centre-cut fillet mignon was sublime and paired well with the smooth, creamy mashed potato. It was judiciously seasoned and offered the right balance of flavours.

Legendary hot chocolate cake

For a sweet conclusion, tantalise your palate with the signature legendary hot chocolate cake served with Haagen Dazs vanilla ice cream. Devilishly divine, it will make your taste buds tingle with sheer delight.

Overall, Morton’s of Chicago is an excellent place to pamper your loved ones. Prices are on the high side, but the service and food make up for it. The restaurant's dishes display the masterful cooking techniques and the freshness and quality of the produce.
