The ground floor is the fine dining area where modern European cuisine is served while the upper level is the Terrace which offers delightful afternoon tea amidst the garden setting and lush foliage.
I love dining at Pollen as it makes me feel like a tai tai, having a tête-à-tête with my friends. The sub-20 degree climate makes the experience even more enjoyable. I like the afternoon tea which features both sweet and savoury items.

The open-faced sandwiches such as Norwegian salmon, crème fraiche, dill and cucumbers and festive braised turkey leg with chestnuts and spiced mango jam were tasty and appetising.

The sweet treats were even better. My favourite dessert was the passionfruit meringue tart with its tangy and luscious passion fruit curd filling and fluffy meringue topping. Another item I enjoyed was the banana tea cake with salted caramel chantilly. The taste was pleasant without being overwhelmingly sweet. It was delightfully light with the gentle aroma of tea. The scones were also palate pleasers. They were soft with a bouncy texture and tasted heavenly with cream and homemade jam.
The afternoon tea set is priced at $38++ per person with a choice of coffee or tea and $50++ with a glass of Codorniu Cava. The best part is that you can explore Gardens by the Bay after the afternoon tea at no cost.
